Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott: Who Should I Start In Fantasy Football In Week 6?

Two quarterbacks that have favorable fantasy matchups in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season are Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, Justin Herbert and Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott.

Prescott’s Cowboys will be on the road against the 2-3 Carolina Panthers as Herbert’s Chargers will be on the road against the struggling 1-4 Miami Dolphins.

This season, Prescott has thrown for 1,356 yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He’s been without his top target in CeeDee Lamb the last few weeks but has still been productive in each game. Prescott also has a rushing touchdown and 50 yards on the ground.

Herbert has thrown for 1,229 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions this season. He also has 153 yards of rushing on the ground. Herbert will be without his two starting running backs this Sunday as Najee Harris suffered a season-ending Achilles injury earlier this season and Omarion Hampton was placed on injured reserve following last week’s game.

Are Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott Viable Fantasy Options In Week 6?

Both Justin Herbert and Dak Prescott are viable fantasy options in Week 6. ESPN has both quarterbacks finishing in the top 10 in fantasy this week as Herbert is projected as the fifth-best fantasy QB this week with Prescott being ranked ninth.

Both Miami and Carolina don’t pose big threats, as they’re often viewed as bottom-10 teams by most.

For Herbert, he faces a pass defense that allows 20.4 games and 212.4 passing yards per game and 1.8 passing touchdowns per game. Miami’s pass defense ranks 16th, but they’ve given up the 29th-most points in the NFL.

For Prescott, he faces a Carolina defense that is slightly better than Miami on paper. Carolina’s defense has given up the 19th-most points per game (23.8) and has allowed 20 pass completions and 1.4 passing touchdowns per game.

Despite both Herbert and Prescott being down a few key weapons on offense, they still have favorable matchups against weaker opponents and should be able to produce well enough to be top-10 fantasy quarterbacks this week.

Our pick: Start Prescott over Herbert
