Delon Wright was recently traded to the Indiana Pacers in the offseason. The Toronto Raptors drafted Wright with the 20th overall pick in 2015 NBA draft. He stayed with the Raptors for 4 years but could never become a sure-shot starter for the team. However, things got worse since. Since 2019, Wright has struggled to find a solid home. He has changed 9 teams in the span of last 6 years and has now landed in Indiana.
The Milwaukee Bucks traded Wright to the New York Knicks in February 2025. The Knicks also acquired draft rights to Hugo Besson and cash, in exchange for Jericho Sims and Mathias Lessort. Wright played for the Knicks until the end of the season. Come September, Wright was once again traded to Indiana Pacers.
Wright recently made his debut for the Pacers in a preseason clash against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an ideal start. 4 minutes into his first appearance for Indiana, Wright got into a nasty collision with Timberwolves guard Jaylen Clark. Wright did not see Clark coming in for the steal and got knocked out cold. It was a worrying incident as he needed immediate medical help on the court. He started bleeding from the head after he landed on the floor. His debut was immediately cut short after the horrific collision.

“Fake bro was smiling at the end blatant flop,” one fan noticed.
“The announcer saying fell asleep right on impact is crazy. i know hes referring to the turnover but lmao,” another fan saw the funny side.
“Who the f**k plays defense with their face???” another exclaimed.
“Wait hold on wasn’t he on the Knicks,” one fan wondered.
““Knocked cold” *moving the whole time*,” another made fun.
“He looks like he got concussion symptoms. He could hardly walk on his own. Ant usually cold blooded but even he looked concern on that hit,” one user got worried.
“Speedy Recovery Homie. Unfortunate incident but was on purpose tho. Sports Life,” another showed sympathy.
“Clark should be suspended for at least 10 games. This aint football,” another expressed anger.
Tyrese Haliburton and Indiana Pacers – So Close Yet So Far
Pacers almost had their dream season. While Indiana suffered a fair share of struggle in the early part of the season, Tyrese Haliburton and co switched up their form in January. They went on a 10-2 run. And then held a record of 20-9 after the All Star break.
Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam were at the heart of this charge. Haliburton led the team with an average of 9.2 assists and 1.4 steals whereas Siakam lead the team with 20.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Unfortunately Haliburton suffered an injury during the finals series which went right down the wire in game 7. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Oklahoma City Thunder grabbed the NBA title with 103-91 win in game 7. Pacers will be hopeful of repeating their last season heroics and also praying for Haliburton’s speedy recovery.
