Taylor Swift Breaks Silence On Plans To Leave Music After Marrying Chiefs Star Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift made a big stride in her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as the couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26. The global popstar’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, was released last week on Oct. 3.

After the release, some speculations started to hit the internet that this will be last time Swift will release an album and that the music star will take a backseat to focus on her relationship with Kelce after engagement. In her latest interview with BBC Radio, Swift tackled those rumors and called them “shockingly offensive.”

“That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say,” Swift said (via PEOPLE). “That’s not why people get married — so that they can quit their job.”

Swift then offered an insight into her relationship with Kelce, saying both are pretty respectful towards each other’s professions.

“Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes, but it’s like I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” Swift said.

“That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he’s so, he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us,” she added.

Taylor Swift Compares Her Music With Travis Kelce’s Football

Taylor Swift shared that after seeing her fiance play football, she finds a lot of similarities between her and Travis Kelce’s profession. She continued that both are tasked to entertain fans for three and a half hours. She added in order to excel in that performance, they both strive hard behind the scenes.

“We both, as a living, as a job, as a passion, perform for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums,” Swift said. ‘We both do three and a half hour shows to entertain people. When I’m in those stadiums, it’s a dressing room, but when he’s in those exact same stadiums, it’s a locker room.

“For him, it’s practice. For me, it’s rehearsal. For him, it’s a game. For me, it’s a show. We just call them different things. It’s a very similar thing. We both have teams,” she went on.

Further in the interview, Swift said she has not started planning her wedding with Kelce just yet. The two are still enjoying the fact that they are engaged. Swift said she is currently focused on her latest album. After that, she’ll decide on what to do.

Meanwhile, Kelce is in the middle of probably his last season in the NFL with the Chiefs. So far in four games, the tight end has caught 15 receptions for 182 yards and one touchdown.
