USC Trojans women’s basketball star JuJu Watkins attended Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels’ game against the LA Chargers last week. Watkins was there at SoFi Stadium to root for Daniels’ Commanders.
After the 27-10 Commanders win, the two even greeted each other and exchanged a handshake, prompting speculations about whether they are dating or it’s just a friendship.

Meanwhile, after the two once again made headlines, fans had a field day, with some even bringing Daniels’ mother, Regina, into the middle.
“But does his mom approve,” one fan asked given the tabs Regina keeps up with regards to her son.

“Momma be all on stage and in the video like Diddy,” another fan wrote.

Amid dating rumors, one fan shared a screenshot alleging that the two are actually cousins.

Meanwhile, another fan brushes off this report, saying that there is no report that says they are cousins.

Previously, Daniels was reportedly in attendance while Watkins played in the 2025 NCAA Women’s Tournament. They were spotted chatting in the stands. In July, Daniels and Watkins left together from the latter’s birthday party.
Jayden Daniels Leads Commanders To Big Win vs Chargers
As for the game is concerned, Jayden Daniels spearheaded the Commanders’ charge after being down 10-0 at one point in the game. Daniels, who returned after two games, completed 15 of 26 passes for 231 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 39 yards. His eight-yard touchdown pass to Deebo Samuel with 1:08 remaining clinched the game for the Commanders.
Rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the win. A goal-line interception by Mike Sainristil was also important in the win.
The win improves the Commanders’ season record to 3-2. Daniels’ return has resulted in a win, and the team will hope the momentum continues when they face the Chicago Bears on Oct. 13.
