Is Jordan Addison Playing Today? Latest Injury Update and Fantasy Outlook for Vikings WR

Wide receiver Jordan Addison and the Minnesota Vikings are in England on Sunday for an international game against the Cleveland Browns.  In the first quarter, the two teams traded TDs to head into the second quarter tied at seven points each. While the game was being heavily discussed online, fans also noticed the absence of one of the Vikings’ receivers. Addison did not play a single snap in the first quarter.

According to a report from insider Kevin Seifert, Addison is not injured. Instead, he was held out of the game because of a coach’s decision.

There is no injury for Jordan Addison, Vikings say. His absence has been due to coach’s decision.

    Is Jordan Addison Suspended?

Addison has not been suspended by the NFL. However, it is unclear if he has been suspended internally by the Vikings for something that has not been made public. All that has been announced is that he did not play in the first quarter because of a coach’s decision.

The NFL previously suspended Addison for three games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. However, he returned for the team’s game against Pittsburgh last week.

    Jordan Addison Status Update

Addison returned to the Vikings’ wide receiver rotation in the second quarter of the game. He was put into the game on the team’s first possession of the second quarter. It is unclear why he did not play in the first quarter.

Often, players are internally suspended by the coaching staff for missing meetings or breaking team rules. However, that is just speculation. It is unlikely that any official answers will be given by the coaching staff until after the game.

    Jordan Addison Fantasy Outlook

Jordan Addison returned to the game at the start of the second quarter. As a result, fantasy owners who started Addison should not need to worry about him missing the rest of the game. However, it is unlikely that he is rostered by many fantasy teams. Before the start of the season, he was the No. 41-ranked WR in the league, according to Fantasy Pros.

Addison had four receptions for 114 yards in his only game played so far this season.
