NFL legend and Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders is receiving a lot of backlash over a missed play in his team’s recent matchup. On Saturday, Oct. 4, coach Sanders and his Buffaloes team are taking on the TCU Horned Frogs for their week six matchup of this year’s college football campaign in the latter’s home stadium.
But, in a now viral post by @stoolgambling on X/Twitter, coach Sanders’ Buffaloes were captured in the first half of the game to not be able to capitalize on a touchdown. This then became a double interception sequence that gave the Horned Frogs the momentum to comeback into the fixture.

College football fans and spectators then don’t hold back over their criticisms of Sanders and his coaching at the collegiate level.
“Someone please explain to me what the f**k Colorado is doing, Deion Sanders is an awful coach,” one fan claimed.
“OMFGGGGGGG TCU COULDNT GET ANY LUCKIER AND COACH PRIME IS ABOUT TO PUKE!!!!!! WHY IS COLORADO CALLING THE SAME PLAY AGAIN THOUGH!?!?!?! THATS STUPID *SS COACHING DEION SANDERS!!!!!!!,” another user exclaimed.
“Deion Sanders is my all time favorite player but his biggest issue as a coach is his ego. He makes horrible decisions as a coach and he is too big to admit it,” another fan pointed out.
“Deion Sanders really the worst coach in the country & it ain’t close. He can’t scheme, he can’t lead, he just tell bible scriptures about God,” a user posted.
Other users all over X/Twitter are just pleading with him to explore other options besides giving veteran quarterback Kaidon Salter heavy minutes.
“Deion Sanders going to bench Salters again at some point,” one fan said.
“I understand Deion Sanders is only starting Kaidon Salter because it’s his last year of eligibility but damn, the freshman JuJu Lewis has to be better,” another fan shared.
“At this point Deion Sanders needs to just put JuJu in this season is washed! Salter is playing way too nervous with happy feet in the pocket. He has protection but he’s over thinking sh*t.🤦🏽♂️,” another user wrote with an emoji.
Currently, coach Sanders and the Buffaloes possess a 2-3 overall record on the early 2025 season so far. They were looking to snag their third win of the year against coach Sonny Dykes’ Horned Frogs but win or loss, they will look to reach further into a .500 record in their next game in week seven against the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday, Oct. 11, on their home pitch, the Folsom Field.

Coach Deion Sanders And The Colorado Buffaloes Falter To The TCU Horned Frogs
Unfortunately for coach Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes, they were unable to halt the TCU Horned Frogs charge in the fourth quarter when the latter went for a 21-7 run. This resulted in the Buffaloes losing against the Horned Frogs in away territory by 14 points, 35-21. The campaign is early thus far, but Colorado is still looking to improve on their below .500 record as it almost enters the midway point of the year.
