College football fans are in for a special treat this Saturday as the top team of the ESPN network will take the call for one of the most anticipated SEC matchups of the weekend, the game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.
The team of Chris Fowler, providing play by play, and Kirk Herbstreit acting as color commentator will be calling the game from the Sanford Stadium. The duo both bring decades of experience as well as stories and travel to and from the game whilst Laura Rutledge and Holly Rowe will be the sideline reporters.
It has been a long time since either Fowler or Herbstreit have called an Alabama game since the terrible 24-3 loss to Oklahoma on Nov. 23 of last season, marking one of the worst games offensively in the Alabama history.
