Cameron Brink has been making waves both on and off the court since entering the WNBA. Known for her versatility and presence as a forward for the LA Sparks, she has quickly become one of the most recognizable young stars in the league.

But her impact has extended beyond basketball, as she continues to explore fashion and modeling opportunities that highlight her growing profile. Her latest project came in the form of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit campaign, shot in Boca Raton.

The location served as the backdrop for nine shoots, featuring athletes and rising stars such as Anna Hall, Ali Truwit, Eileen Gu, Gabby Thomas, Jordan Chiles, Nelly Korda, Suni Lee, and Toni Breidinger. Brink stood out in the campaign, showing a different side of herself outside the basketball court.

The picture from the shoot captures Brink in an orange cutout swimsuit, standing against the backdrop of the ocean. The disposable camera snapshot added a vintage touch to her look. Brink has established herself as someone who can balance professional sports with fashion modeling.

While her modeling opportunities continue to expand, her on-court journey has had its challenges. Brink’s rookie season in 2024 was cut short by a torn ACL, an injury that sidelined her during a crucial stage of her career.

The setback was significant, but she worked her way back to return for the 2025 season. Despite her determination and strong play, the Sparks were unable to advance beyond the regular season, finishing ninth in the league.

Brink has shown incredible resilience in recovering from injury, and her willingness to branch into modeling adds another layer to her career.

Working With SI Swimsuit is Empowering for Cameron Brink

Brink was a star even before she entered the WNBA. But when an opportunity came her way for a great launch in the modeling industry with SI Swimsuit, she knew she had to take it.

In May 2025, she made her debut with SI. She said she has had several influences in her life, but no one has had a bigger impact than her mother.

“I think you always have to look back at the women before you; my mom has definitely taught me that. I’m very thankful for those role models, because we wouldn’t be where we are today without them,” she told SI.

Brink said female athletes often face the issue of body image, and she was no stranger to that at one point.

“I think every female athlete has had a really rough go with body image, but I’m definitely glad I’ve gotten to a really good place, and I’m able to do stuff like this with SI Swimsuit. It’s just very empowering, so I hope everyone can get to a point like this,” Brink said.

It was more than just an attempt to expand her career; Brink also wanted to make a statement.
