“Was Always Overrated” “Needs Some More Time”: Fans React As Marvin Harrison Jr. Struggles Against Seahawks

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is still in the early stages of his career. He is only a few games into his second season in the NFL after being selected with the fourth pick in the 2024 NFL draft. There was a lot of hope that he could become a superstar for the Cardinals, but that has not been the case thus far.

On Thursday night, Harrison had another disappointing game against the Seahawks. He made six catches for 66 yards and a TD. While it is not a terrible stat line, it is below what fans would have expected from him at this point. He has also struggled with dropping normal catches, which has caused some concern in the Cardinals fan base.

Fans reacted to his disappointing game in the comments on an Instagram post shared by College Football.

Was always overrated argue with a wall,” one fan wrote.

I hope he gets traded and gets a fresh start. Hopefully it would give him a chance to restart,” one fan commented.

All he sees out there are winged helmets. Drops the ball,” one fan added.

While some fans were critical, others were more willing to give Harrison some leeway for his less-than-stellar play.

I love how people who sit on the Internet and clown someone else and most of y’all probably didn’t even play high school football,” one fan wrote.

Jamar chase was dropping passes left and right his first year. I think he needs some more time,” one fan commented.

Called lack of confidence and concentration he will be fine,” one fan added.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Started To Show Flashes of Brilliance In The Fourth Quarter Against Seattle

While most of the game against the Seahawks was disappointing, Marvin Harrison Jr. started to break out of his funk in the fourth quarter. He caught four passes for 42 yards in the fourth quarter, including an impressive 17-yard TD grab. His performance was one of the major factors that allowed the Cardinals to come back and tie the game late.

While the Seahawks eventually won the game with a walk-off field goal, Harrison’s performance was encouraging. Heading into Week 5 against Tennessee, Arizona fans will be hoping to see continued improvement from Harrison.
