“First Round Bust”: Fans React as Jahmyr Gibbs’ Brother Publicly Calls Out Detroit Teammate With Blunt Message

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold came into Detroit with a ton of hype, as the 2024 first-round pick out of Alabama was one of the best cornerbacks of his class. However, during his first three games of the 2025 season, he has struggled, and fans have noticed. This includes Jahmyr Gibbs’ brother, who called out Arnold in a brutal post on social media:

“6 so *ss it’s getting ridiculous. Dis Sht every week bruh,” he posted on his Instagram Stories.

He struggled on Monday against the Baltimore Ravens, as he did in his first two games. The Detroit Lions still won, 38-31, but his performance has many questioning the hype, with many agreeing with the sentiments of Jahmyr Gibbs’ brother.

“Former 1st round bust pick. But they are gonna keep starting him to try & mask the mistake!” said one Lions fan.

“Jamo and TA were college teammates too 😭😭” one fan pointed out.

“Tried to defend him but playing 5 yards into the end zone on absolutely nobody after a horrible dpi is not defendable,” added another X user.

“He loses coverage way too often. He needs to get his sh*t together or they’ll look elsewhere, first rounder or not.” one commenter noted.

“Bro gotta do better man. Thats your brothers teammate we all frustrated but u got a direct relation to him almost.” said another person.

“I’ve been saying this since last season…he blew way to many 3rd and longs by getting a penalty on the play,” commented one Lions fan.

During his time at college, Terrion Arnold was a First Team All-American, First Team All-SEC and a Freshman All-American and All-SEC. He was one of the best defenders during the 2023 season, having 63 tackles, 5 interceptions, a sack, and a forced fumble.

Why Were Fans Frustrated With Terrion Arnold Vs the Baltimore Ravens?

Despite all the hype coming into the new season, with Terrion Arnold displaying some of his college guile during training camp, he ultimately disappointed Lions fans as he allowed Ravens star QB Lamar Jackson to go wild. The former Crimson Tide CB allowed three catches for 47 yards on five targets on Monday.

In addition, Arnold also allowed Rashod Bateman to get a touchdown late into the second quarter, allowing the Ravens to tie the game. The Lions ultimately defeated the Ravens, though it did not stop fans from being disappointed in their 2024 1st round pick.
