As an internet celebrity and an Instagram model, Sydney Thomas is no stranger to having famous people slide into her DMs and shoot their shot. The question is, who is the most famous person to do that? During an episode of “Inside: USA,” she revealed that it was Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, and he started the conversation with another school’s catchphrase.
“I’d say Lane Kiffin, another SEC football coach” she said. “Slid in with ‘Roll Tide’ and he’s the coach of Ole Miss, so I guess that works.”
For those asking, here’s the entire clip from “Inside: USA.”
Didn’t realize it at the time but the girl in the ice bath is WWE ring girl & former Alabama student Sydney Thomas. 😭 https://t.co/9JcBDMafq9 pic.twitter.com/Psx6sYDeZJ

It should be noted that Thomas was a student of the University of Alabama, and she has been very loyal to her Crimson Tide. However, a rival coach using another school’s catchphrase when sliding to that other school’s students’ DMs did raise a lot of eyebrows.
This video was her admitting that the SEC coach who slid into her DMs was indeed Lane Kiffin. During her appearance on the “Like a Farmer” podcast, she stated that an SEC football coach slid into her DMs but did not name him. This had the internet abuzz, as many initially thought it was Nick Saban because of their picture together. However, the conversation soon turned to Kiffin after some internet detectives pieced it together.
Kiffin is currently single as he has been divorced since 2013, though he does have three kids from his previous marriage.

Sydney Thomas’ Friend Posted a Screenshot of Lane Kiffin’s Alleged DM to Ring Girl
The rumors that it was Lane Kiffin who slid into her DMs reached fever pitch last January when Maddy Muir, a friend of Thomas, posted a screenshot of an image of a DM from Lane Kiffin’s Instagram account. It was a message that read “RTR,” or “Roll Tide Roll,” which was a cheer for the school’s sports teams. The screenshot was posted on her Snapchat, but it did not confirm if the message was directed to the ring girl.
It was Lane.
Of COURSE it was Lane. pic.twitter.com/wjkA1jN6ez

Kiffin used to be the offensive coordinator for the Alabama Crimson Tide under Nick Saban. He worked for the team from 2014 to 2016, which means he is more than familiar with the school’s many cheers and chants.
