Derrick Henry’s Fumble Proves Costly as Detroit Wins Over Baltimore
Derrick Henry’s fumble couldn’t have come at a worse time, as Baltimore was trailing by four points. The turnover was followed by a successful field goal attempt by Detroit, pushing their lead to 31-24.
Two fumbles came in the fourth quarter, turning the tide in favor of Detroit, who were tied with Baltimore at halftime. Detroit won the game 38-30. The fumble was one of the turning points in the second half that went against Baltimore.
Henry finished the game with 50 rushing yards on 12 carries and one touchdown. He also received one reception for seven yards. However, he also registered his third fumble of the season. The running back has 242 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
The loss drops Baltimore to 1-2 in the season. They previously suffered a close loss to the Bills. In the 41-40 loss, they collapsed in the fourth quarter, like they did against the Lions. They registered a comprehensive win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, but it won’t help if they are not able to win against competitive teams.
