“Andy Reid Should Trade Travis Kelce”: NFL Fans Give Their Verdict As Chiefs TE Gets In Heated Argument In Viral Sideline Clip

The Kansas City Chiefs were able to notch their first victory of the season, with 22-9 win over the New York Giants on Sunday but a video of a heated sideline discussion between head coach Andy Reid and tight end Travis Kelce was the talking point of the game.

The clip showed a clearly frustrated Kelce bumping into his coach, highlighting the Chiefs’ initial difficult start to this season on the field.

The incident drew dramatic reactions from a segment of the fanbase on X, calling for Travis Kelce to be traded out of the side.

“Andy Reid should trade Travis Kelce. That crybaby has always complained like a diva & now he’s washed. At this point he’s just around to complain & blame everyone except himself for his diminished skills,” called out a fan.

“Kelce makes me sick. Trade him,” stated a fan.

“I love the Chiefs, have since 92′. We need to trade Kelce or we won’t be a dynasty. This is just my opinion,” opined a fan.

“Ciara Syndrome. Time to trade Kelce or tell him to break it off with Swift,” remarked a fan.

“Trade Kelce,” commented a fan with a hilarious gif.

“Does Kelce even have any trade value at this point? Maybe we can get Skattebo for him straight up if we send a pick as well,” stated another fan.

The incident took place as the Chiefs offense was struggling to find a rhythm in the game when all of a sudden the cameras captured a shouting Kelce into his coach’s space before bumping into him with his shoulder.

Meanwhile Andy Reid downplayed the moment after the game. Reid praised his passionate tight end, stating he has been through a lot of things with Kelce, and that is all part of it. He also expressed that he loves the fact that Kelce loves to play the game, which is what he appreciates most whilst acknowledging that football is an emotional game.

Travis Kelce Off To One Of The Slowest Starts Of His Career

The situation follows weeks of struggles that is uncharacteristic for the three-time defending AFC champions. Close losses to the Chargers and Eagles marked the team’s first 0-2 start since 2014 and have clearly already frustrated the Chiefs thus far into the season.

Kelce is having one of the slowest starts of his illustrious career. Through three games, he only has 10 catches and 134 yards.

On the field issues and frustrations have also already cost Kelce financially this season. The league fined him $14,491 for an obscene gesture during the team’s Week 2 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.

With a 1-2 record, the Chiefs are in a situation that is unfamiliar for them. The schedule doesn’t get any easier, as they have to play against tough opponents, the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars, over the next two weeks. It will be interesting to see how the Chiefs evolve and play their upcoming games.
