Fans Furious as Max Gilbert Gets ‘Stomped’ During Heated Moment Amid Blowout First Half: “F*cking Loser”

The Tennessee Volunteers and UAB Blazers are playing on Saturday afternoon. Unsurprisingly, the Volunteers dominated and took a 28-0 lead early in the second quarter. However, the game drew a lot of emotion from fans following the actions of a UAB player following a kick by Tennessee’s Max Gilbert.

After he made the kick, a UAB player ran past a few Tennessee players before stomping on Gilbert’s foot. The move was unprovoked and appeared to be premeditated by the UAB player.

This led to a furious reaction from fans online, as many started to call out the UAB player on X.

    “F*cking Loser,” one fan wrote.

“Very dirty move,” one fan commented.

“Bush league. Go Vols, hang 100 on these b*tches,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react in the comments.

“Reminds me when we played Akron a few years ago and they were so dirty,” one fan commented.

“Screw it. Hang 100 on them now. No excuse for that EVER in CFB,” one fan wrote.

“What a loser program lol,” one fan added.

The Stomp On Max Gilbert Came From UAB’s Sirad Bryant

UAB players are not as popular as those on the Volunteers. As a result, many Tennessee fans were unsure which player stomped on Max Gilbert. As it turns out, it was safety Sirad Bryant who committed the infraction.

The incident occurred after Gilbert kicked an extra point to give the Vols a 21-0 lead late in the first quarter. Fans will be watching to see if there is supplemental discipline for Bryant after the game.

The Tennessee Volunteers continued their first-quarter dominance to start the season. Through their first four games, they have outscored their opponents 83-7 in the first quarter. Additionally, they have scored on 12 of their 15 possessions in the first quarter this year.

However, the Volunteers have not been able to hold on for wins in all games. They held a 21-7 lead over Georgia in the first quarter last week. However, the Bulldogs fought back and defeated the Volunteers 44-41 in overtime. That is unlikely to happen this week.
