What To Expect In The Michigan vs. Nebraska Game?
Both Michigan and Nebraska feature two strong quarterbacks.
Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola has already thrown for eight touchdowns against zero interceptions while passing for 829 yards on 75% pass completion rate. So far, he remains untested against ranked team this season, making him an interesting player to watch for this Big Ten matchup.
On the other hand, Michigan will have true freshman Bryce Underwood calling the plays under center. The quarterback has thrown two touchdowns against one interception this season but it’s his run game that is making several praising him. Underwood has rushed for two scores already and Nebraska’s safety and defensive back will need to be careful whenever he choose to be mobile on the field.
The game has major Big Ten implications. A win here will elevate Michigan in the rankings. However, a loss could mean they might not be able to make it to the College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, it will mean a lot for Huskers to take down a ranked program in No. 21 Michigan.
Michigan’s coach Sherrone Moore will once again miss coaching the Michigan game from sidelines as interim head coach Biff Poggi will continue to lead the group. Ahead of the Big Ten matchup, Poggi praised Nebraska, acknowledging Matt Rhule’s efforts in assembling a roster with good players. Poggi said Nebraska QB1 Raiola is “very polished and very dangerous.”
