Green Bay has been sweating on the status of rising tight end Tucker Kraft after he picked up a knee injury in practice this week. Kraft has been one of Jordan Love’s most reliable options through the first two games, and whether or not he’s available against Cleveland could have a real impact on both the Packers’ game plan and plenty of fantasy lineups.

Tucker Kraft Injury Update
Kraft tweaked his left knee during Thursday’s workout, which led to his addition to the injury report. Matt LaFleur described it as a “minor issue,” stressing that the team doesn’t see it as a long-term setback. Still, Kraft sat out of Friday’s practice, leaving his availability up in the air heading into the weekend.
The Packers’ medical staff will monitor him closely, and the final call may not come until warmups on Sunday. LaFleur mentioned Kraft will need both clearance from trainers and personal confidence in his movement before taking the field.

Tucker Kraft Fantasy Football Outlook
Through two weeks, Kraft has already made himself a key part of Green Bay’s passing attack. He leads the team with 140 yards and has scored twice, highlighted by a breakout showing in Week 2 with 124 yards and a touchdown. If he’s cleared to play, his role as Love’s safety net makes him difficult to bench.
If Kraft is held out, Luke Musgrave likely steps into the majority of snaps. Musgrave has mostly worked in shorter-yardage roles so far, but his athletic profile gives him some streaming appeal in deeper leagues. Depth options like John FitzPatrick or Ben Sims would round out the rotation, though neither projects as a fantasy contributor.
Cleveland’s defense has generally been strong against tight ends, limiting big plays down the middle of the field. That makes Kraft’s health all the more important for Green Bay, as he has been the one player stretching defenses in that part of the offense.
Final Word
Kraft is officially listed as questionable, and his status will likely remain uncertain until just before kickoff. Fantasy managers should be ready with a backup plan, but also recognize the upside he brings if active. Kraft has carved out a prominent role in a hurry, and his presence could be the difference in what is shaping up to be a close matchup against the Browns.
