Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes suffered a major setback in Week 3, falling 36-20 to Houston Cougars in their Big 12 opener. The defeat dropped the Buffaloes to 1-2 and highlighted a long list of problems for a team trying to find its footing without some of its biggest names from last season.
The Cougars took control early and never let the Cowboys truly settle. They balanced offensive attack kept the Buffaloes on their heels. Although, Colorado had a brief surge before halftime to close the gap, but the second half turned lopsided.
The Buffaloes were outscored 20-6 in the second half and outplayed as drives stalled, the defense wore down, and mistakes piled up. Despite the crushing loss, Sanders still has high hopes for his team, and he showcased his confidence with a recent Instagram post.
Sanders posted three pictures of himself with his team standing in the background. He captioned the post with a three-word message for all Colorado fans.
“I still believe,” Sanders wrote.

The loss has fueled questions about the state of the program under the $60 million worth (as per Celebrity Net Worth) coach. Colorado is without former stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, both now in the NFL. Their absence has left holes in leadership and playmaking that the current roster has struggled to fill.
With mounting pressure, Sanders is facing perhaps his toughest test as head coach. Expectations were sky-high after last year’s buzz, but the results so far suggest a long road ahead. They’ve lost two of three games this season so far against Georgia Tech and Houston.

Breiden Fehoko Blamed Deion Sanders for Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Decision
Shedeur Sanders, a projected first-round pick, slipped to the fifth round in the 2025 NFL Draft. Many wondered what must’ve led to such a decline, while some claimed that his immaturity would’ve become a liability for teams to justify the teams’ decision.
Yesterday, ESPN insider Adam Schefter revealed that the Baltimore Ravens were planning on drafting Sanders as their 141st pick. To their surprise, a message was conveyed by his camp, asking them to pass on him. Schefter reported that Sanders didn’t want to live in Lamar Jackson’s shadow.
This has been a huge topic of discussion for the last 24 hours as fans are trying to understand it from Shedeur’s perspective. However, Breiden Fehoko believes that Coach Prime should also catch some heat because of the way he allegedly misled people.
“Deion outta be ashamed of himself boy. He had this app really arguing that the NFL was blackballing the kid,” he wrote on X.
