Who Are the Florida-LSU Game Announcers Today on ESPN? All You Need to Know About Week 3 Game’s Coverage Team

The stage is set for a huge Southeastern Conference clash as No. 3 LSU hosts Florida at Tiger Stadium. This Week 3 matchup will see the Tigers looking to keep their undefeated streak alive against a Gators team looking to turn the page on their previous outing.

ABC will broadcast this primetime game with a veteran announcing crew that college football fans will be familiar with. The network has brought a crew with a wealth of SEC experience who are calling what could be one of the premier games of the early portion of the season.

Brian Kelly’s Tigers head into this game riding a little momentum after solid performances against Clemson and Louisiana Tech. The defense has been particularly impressive in the first two weeks of the season.

Florida comes to Baton Rouge with a 1-1 record after an up-and-down opening to their season. The Gators started by crushing Long Island University 55-0 on August 30. On September 7, however, they suffered a painful 18-16 loss to South Florida as USF hit a game-winning field goal in the last few seconds.

Molly McGrath completes the announcing crew as the sideline reporter for this fixture. McGrath has plenty of experience covering college football and delivers important updates while at the field level.

What Time Is the LSU Tigers vs. Florida Gators Game Today?

The LSU vs Florida matchup is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. CT from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, (La.) and a 5:30 p.m. EST start for fans in different time zones.

What To Expect In The LSU Tigers vs. Florida Gators Game

After beating a ranked Clemson squad in a season opener and beating Louisiana Tech comfortably, LSU comes in with a ton of momentum. LSU’s defense has been, to this point, the story of their season.

Coach Kelly has also expressed his satisfaction with the team’s coverage ability and tackling fundamentals, especially with the secondaries. The front seven is showing signs of improved synchronization as they move into their second year of the current defensive scheme.

“I think it starts at the back end of the defense. Coverage ability, tackling; we’ve been really good tacklers. So, I think what stands out right away is the ability to cover down, contest throws, tackling in the back end of the defense”, stated Kelly.

“Those things start to really show themselves. And then I think the front seven plays well together. It’s well-synced”, he further elaborated.

Florida enters Baton Rouge with a 1-1 record, hoping to assert itself in what many will say is the toughest conference in America. Florida will need to find ways to exploit any defensive weaknesses as well as contain LSU’s offense.

Tiger Stadium presents one of college football’s most intimidating environments,  and a win tonight could give the winner some much-needed momentum heading into the rest of the season.
