America was hit with shocking news on Wednesday, Sept. 10, when conservative political activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead in Orem, Utah. Kirk was a close ally of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. He was a right-wing activist. Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl, among others, shared his condolences.
Kirk was discussing mass shootings on Wednesday at the first stop of his “American Comeback Tour.” A shot was fired at around 12:20 p.m., as the bullet struck him in his neck.
Bruce Pearl shared his take on the situation while talking about Kirk’s death.
“Charlie was a man of faith. He knew where he was going. When his time came, I know that’s not what he was planning on. Because he got so much to live for here. He was leading, I think the most important revival that was taking place in our country and that was young, conservative, christian people who were on fire for God and on fire for Jesus, who were on fire for this country to help get involved in it. The other side was so different than how they felt about faith and family and right to life. And so many things that we take for granted as part of our DNA,” Pearl said.
“The opposition is pulling farther apart from us and also getting more violent. I think the reason they are getting more violent is because like Charlie Kirk proved every time he debated, had discussion, he was on the side of right. He was on the side of good. He was on side of accurate history. And they couldn’t beat him so they killed him. They murdered him. They assassinated him. They eliminated them. But what they didn’t realise is they actually didn’t because he is gonna live on through all of us,” he added.

Bruce was clearly shaken up and gave a sympathetic and sad monologue about how important he thought Charlie Kirk was to the country.
