Hannah Hidalgo’s former teammate Dara Mabrey is making waves both on and off the court. The former Notre Dame star and ex-teammate of Hannah Hidalgo recently shared a series of pictures and videos from her trip to Greece, showing a different side of herself away from basketball.
Mabrey was seen enjoying the seaside in a striking blue bikini, capturing moments in the water and soaking up the sun along the shore. Mabrey’s posts featured more than just beach shots.
The 25-year-old shared clips on Instagram of herself swimming in the clear waters, relaxing with a drink in hand at the beach, and enjoying quiet moments while roaming local shops. She also highlighted her accessories, posting pictures of rings and bracelets that added flair to her look.

While her vacation style is captivating, Mabrey continues to remain an active presence in basketball. After finishing her college career at Notre Dame in 2023, she began her professional journey overseas.
She currently plays in Hungary’s top women’s league, continuing to showcase the sharp shooting and guard skills she became known for in the NCAA. The mix of her professional career and off-court lifestyle has kept Mabrey in the spotlight.
Sharing glimpses of her travels while balancing the demands of international basketball makes her stand out among her peers. She recently posted a video on her Instagram, capturing a day in the life of a professional athlete overseas.
Dara Mabrey comes from one of the most famous basketball families in women’s hoops. She’s the youngest of the three Mabrey sisters, all of whom played at the highest collegiate level.
Notre Dame Coach Niele Ivey Remembers Seeing Dara Mabrey at Games
Dara Mabrey’s oldest sister, Michaela Mabrey, starred at Notre Dame and later joined the Fighting Irish staff as an assistant coach. Her other sister, Marina Mabrey, also represented Notre Dame and has gone on to play professionally in the WNBA. She currently plays for the Connecticut Sun.
Niele Ivey, who played for Notre Dame from 1996 to 2001 and first joined as an assistant coach in 2007, has clear memories of Dara at the Fighting Irish facility.
“She was always the one getting everybody water in the timeouts,” Ivey said. “We would always be like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s just so cute.’ We would always wave to her because she was just the cutest little thing, knowing that she was just so much younger than her sisters and that team.”
