Steve Sarkisian’s Wife Loreal Pens Heartwarming Note Recapping Memories from Texas’ win vs SJSU

Steve Sarkisian’s Texas Longhorns went into the new season as arguably the strongest team. Their first outing, however, told a different story. They ended up losing 7-14 against Ohio State. So, it was redemption time when they faced the San Jose State Spartans.

Texas came out all guns blazing, showing great control on the offensive and defensive sides of the game. They dominated through the first three quarters and walked away with a 38-7 win. Sarkisian’s wife, Loreal, was there to witness it all firsthand.

Loreal Sarkisian is frequently spotted during the Longhorns’ games, so it didn’t come as a surprise. Almost a week later, she took to Instagram to share some snapshots from her visit to the Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium.

In the first picture, she could be seen talking to coach Sarkisian as the team’s cheerleaders walk past behind them. She shared two more pictures in the post and wrote a heartwarming note in the caption.

“Every win feels bigger when we share it together, and every challenge feels lighter when we face it as one. Forever proud of us. XOLO 🤍” Loreal wrote.

The win against SJSU was very important for Sarkisian and the Longhorns because pressure was mounting on them following the loss against Ohio State. Many believed that they were going to be unbeatable this season, so Sarkisian’s team had to bounce back and put themselves on the map.

The Longhorns are now getting ready to face the UTEP Miners at the same stadium on September 13. The conversation around Texas might be completely different right now as Arch Manning was rumored to be injured during the last game.

Steve Sarkisian Gave a Bizarre Analogy When Asked About Arch Manning’s Injury

During the SJSU game, fans noticed that Manning was struggling to throw the ball properly. The quarterback was visibly in pain, which sent the Texas fanbase into a frenzy for a while. After the game, Sarkisian refuted any such claims with a bizarre bathroom analogy.

“He doesn’t have any [problems],” Sarkisian said. “I’ve never filmed any of you guys when you use the bathroom. So, I don’t know what faces you make when you’re doing that.”

On an episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith discussed Sarkisian’s comment and stated that he didn’t like what he heard. In fact, Smith claimed that it might’ve been a strategic move to deflect from a larger issue.

“Seems to me like Sarkisian is feeling some pressure,” Smith said. “And he needs to feel some pressure because the expectations at Texas are very very high, as well they should be because they have a hell of a team.”

The pressure, if Sarkisian is feeling any, is justified to say the least. After all, he has one of the strongest rosters in the country, and his team has everyone’s attention. In case they fail to deliver this season, it’ll be one of the biggest letdowns in the program’s history.
