Looking to cash in on Kent State or can you make a buck on Bowling Green? If you’re going to take advantage of the Kent State vs. Bowling Green odds, consider some of the following factors before you part with your hard-earned cash.

Although Bowling Green holds a 60-24-6 head-to-head advantage, Kent State is on a five-game winning streak in the battle for the Anniversary Award, dishing out a beat-down just a year ago. These aren’t your older brother’s Golden Flashes, however, and with bowl eligibility on the line, Bowling Green is a significant favorite to win in Kent for the first time since 2017.

MORE: History of the Kent State Golden Flashes

The Falcons haven’t lost as a moneyline favorite this year, and our Kent State vs. Bowling Green prediction details why we think they’ll maintain that run. There’s also a confidence factor in them covering the spread — not something you can often say when MACtion mayhem ensues. Following a push against Akron, Kent State hasn’t covered since their Week 3 win over an FCS opponent.

Neither team has been offensively dynamic for the most part of the 2023 college football season, hence the 41-point line. However, such are the difficulties that the Golden Flashes’ defense has faced this year. Bowling Green might tally the most part of the points line themselves. Kent State should be able to muster at least 10 points to contribute to covering.

Top DFS Picks and Fantasy Plays

Kent State Depth Chart | Bowling Green Depth Chart

There are three college football games on Wednesday to compile your DFS team from in Week 11. If you’re new to DFS, Fanduel Superflex contests require you to select a quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, and a “superflex” that can be any of the above or you can a tight end.

Tommy Ulatowski came out balling for Kent State last week, as they took the game to Akron in an offensive display we hadn’t really seen from the Golden Flashes all season. Can you rely on Ulatowski to repeat for your fantasy or DFS lineup? Neither quarterback situation lends itself to full confidence, and it’s better not to dabble in murky waters only heightened by the rain.

Speaking of which, by God, that’s Terion Stewart’s music. With rain and wind in the forecast, this game should see plenty of ground game action. Even without the elements, Bowling Green will likely force-feed their main offensive weapon. The star running back is leading all MAC East rushers with 126.9 fantasy points this season. He’s a touchdown machine.

Speaking of touchdown machines, tight ends don’t ordinarily get a look in, but Harold Fannin Jr. could be in consideration for your Superflex position, the pass-catching touchdown leader for the Falcons. The inconsistency in the passing offense hasn’t allowed their talented duo of former Alabama A&M WRs to thrive. One WR who does is Chrishon McCray — the MAC East fantasy WR2 — but it looks as if he’ll be out with a lower-body injury.

Prediction for Kent State vs. Bowling Green

Okay, so we’ve furnished you with the Kent State vs. Bowling Green odds and some DFS picks. Now, it’s time to close this thing out with our prediction. Can Kent State get their first FBS win of what has been a difficult season for the Golden Flashes or will Bowling Green take the Anniversary Award back home, alongside bowl eligibility?

The offensive performance against Akron will give some hope to a beleaguered Kent State team that was crippled by the departure of former OC Sean Lewis and a good chunk of their 2022 team. QB Ulatowski and WR McCray contributed to over 346 yards of total offense last week — their season average is 269.3 yards per game.

Sadly, the game against Akron also showcased the kind of defensive fragility that Bowling Green should be able to exploit on Wednesday night. They gave up over 100 yards to RB Lorenzo Lingard, and even QB Jeff Undercuffler got involved in the action. Bowling Green sits fourth in the MAC for yards per carry, and RB Stewart is set for another monster performance.

While the Bowling Green offense should have the advantage over the Kent State defense, the Falcons have some formidable components to stifle any offense the Flashes can find. Jalen Huskey has contributed four interceptions to a MAC-high 12, while Darren Anders, Davon Ferguson, and Cashius Howell are ferociously getting after the ball. Advantage, Bowling Green.

Prediction: Bowling Green 31, Kent State 17
