Jake Ferguson and the Dallas Cowboys didn’t start their season on their best footing, losing to their divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, 24-20 on the road at Lincoln Financial Field. Before the game, tight end Jake Ferguson took some time to participate in a social media game for his newlywed wife, Haley Cavinder, and her twin sister, Hanna Cavinder.
Being on the field in the game’s aftermath, the Cavinder twins recorded a video of a game in which Hanna and Jake tried to show who knew the most about Haley. The Cowboys’ Instagram account published the video, where Hanna can be heard saying:
“There’s No Way Ferg Wins”
The pair had to answer questions like, “Which is Haley’s pet peeve?” or “Which actress would she like to play her in a movie?” By a wide margin of four to one and a half, her twin sister Hanna won the game against Ferguson.

Ferguson had a quiet game, with five receptions for 23 receiving yards, with an average of 4.6 yards per catch.

Jake Ferguson’s teammate Believes Team Is Going in Right Direction Despite Defeat
In an article published by the Dallas Cowboys on their webpage, their quarterback, Dak Prescott, spoke about the defeat to the Eagles in Week 1. It seems that Prescott believes the team is headed in the right direction and that good things will come under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
“He did everything he could to give us an opportunity, especially one as a head coach in terms of having us prepared. With the way we went out there, we were physical and we played together,” Prescott said.
“We’ve just got to play a little bit more complimentary. And what I mean by that is defense gets some stops in the first half and we score points in the second half. Then we’re going to be proud of the outcome of this game. But as a head coach, he did his job and as a play-caller, he gave us every opportunity and he was dialing it up.”
This was Brian Schottenheimer’s head coaching debut, with him having been the team’s offensive coordinator for the two prior seasons. He has a long coaching career at the college and NFL level that goes back to 1997. Despite the initial setback, Schottenheimer set up lofty goals for the team in the aftermath by telling the press he believed the Cowboys could win the Super Bowl this season.
