Ryan Wingo Sends Cryptic Message As Arch Manning And Co. Look To Bounce Back From Crushing Ohio State Defeat

The Texas Longhorns are facing their first adversity of 2025. After suffering a shocking 14-7 defeat to Ohio State in what was supposed to be their statement game, star wide receiver Ryan Wingo took to social media with a message that has fans scratching their heads.

“Block out the noise 1 focus ona main goal,” Wingo posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story.

Losing to Ohio State hurts a little more for Texas. They came into the game as the number-one-ranked team in the nation and came into Columbus with huge expectations. Instead of succeeding, they walked right into Ohio State’s played a perfectly executed game plan against them.

Wingo’s performance was half-decent in their loss against Ohio State. The wide receiver had only 2 catches for 35 yards, which included a 28-yard catch that showed some indication of his potential in creating a big play.

Wingo Showcases Resilience Despite Preseason Injury

The talented receiver missed significant time away from the team battling injury throughout the preseason. A hamstring strain sidelined him throughout August and kept him from important practice time.

The positive is that the injuries early on in the season have not hampered his performances, as Wingo appeared to be fine in the team’s recent scrimmages. Wingo threw together three touchdowns in practice and performed very well.

Meanwhile, the Buckeyes’ defensive game plan against Texas seemed to be tailored almost exclusively to limit big plays in the air. Their receivers put pressure on Manning on just about every pass, and forced Texas to find new alternatives.

Manning’s issues were concerning as well. He ended on 17 of 30 for just 170 yards with an interception, and it was painfully obvious to anyone watching that he is still figuring out how to play the position at the collegiate level.
