UConn Fans Can’t Hold Back Excitement As Azzi Fudd, Sarah Strong, KK Arnold, And More Return To Practice: “Can The Season Start Already”

    The UConn Huskies, led by the likes of Azzi Fudd, have returned to practice for the upcoming 2025-26 college basketball season. On Wednesday, Sept. 3, the Huskies’ social media team posted a series of photos on Instagram, showcasing several players from the incoming roster working out in the gym.

    These included Fudd, veterans KK Arnold, Ice Brady, Allie Ziebell, Ayanna Patterson, Ashlynn Shade, USC Trojans transferee Kayleigh Heckel, and incoming sophomore stalwart Sarah Strong. They can be seen doing different workout drills such as dumbbell presses, weighted squats, and kettlebell swings.

    College basketball fans online couldn’t hold back their excitement, with the Huskies commencing their 2025 NCAA title defense preparations.

    “CAN THE SEASON START ALREADY?? IM READY TO SEE THEM PLAY! 👏,” one fan exclaimed with a clapping emoji.

    Other users, especially the Huskies faithful, hyped up Fudd and company’s physique.

    The Huskies are looking to defend their national championship. They won the NCAA tournament by defeating the 2024 champions, coach Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks, by 23 huge points, 82-59. This was coach Geno Auriemma’s Huskies’ 12th NCAA championship.

    UConn Huskies Will Have a Tough Non-Conference Schedule For The 2025-26 Season

    A recent graphic on the UConn Huskies’ Instagram account showed some of the opponents that they are set to face in the 2025-26 non-conference regular season.

    The matchups for the Huskies in the stacked lineup before conference play include the Louisville Cardinals, USC Trojans, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the Tennessee Volunteers.
