The Texas Longhorns welcomed one of college football’s bright stars, when Ryan Wingo committed to their program for 2024. The young wide receiver was born Feb. 15, 2006 and is already being touted as one of the best athletes in his age bracket.
Wingo offered Texas so much as an athlete with an impressive high school trajectory and scholarship offers from Blue Blood programs like Missouri, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
Ryan has an environment of successful parents that have played professional football and their experience and commitment that would help to establish Ryan’s future success as a professional football player.
They have been a married couple since the 1980’s and have produced four children, each successful in their own right.
“It’s hard work. It’s getting up at five, six o’clock in the morning running hills, push-ups, sit-ups… and just working hard and staying consistent,” Ronnie Sr. explained.
Ronnie Sr. certainly has a good perspective of what professional football requires having played for teams like the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills.
The cornerstore of the family is Tiffany Wingo. To fill her professional commitments while also raising four children that will all need support while working to be athletes is quite commendable.

The Wingo Family’s Football Legacy
Three of the four Wingo children are already notable players in football. Ronnie Wingo Jr Ryan’s older brother, transitioned from the University of Arkansas to the NFL and the CFL.
Ryan is the next chapter in the ongoing football story. He is the youngest, but has the advantage of watching Jason and Ronnie Jr. navigate their careers with the help of parents who know the challenges and opportunities they will face.
“It’s kind of crazy. She’s the one who’s on us about everything from school to chores and just being on us hard,” Ronnie Jr. shared about his mother.
“At the time it was like, ‘Ah, you nag me.’ But when I got older, I appreciated her so much for just being with us,” he added.
The impact and relevance of Tiffany Wingo stretches beyond athletics. Her children see her as the reason for any academic success and personal growth.
Ronnie Jr. explained the importance of her influence how her constant focus on even the smallest details ensuring schoolwork is done or that the code requires cleaning of one’s home seemed at first a chore but eventually, invaluable.
