“[Pat] Shurmur Is Awful”, “Terrible Play Caller”: Fans Call Out Colorado OC As Deion Sanders’ Squad Struggles On Offense Without Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter

The Colorado vs. Georgia Tech game has already begun, and as the match went into the halftime break, Deion Sanders’ squad struggled on offense. The Yellow Jackets hit a 43-yard field goal to end the first half, with the Colorado offense struggling to keep up after its two biggest offensive contributors, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, left for the NFL.

Georgia Tech targeted Drelon Miller and Omarion Miller, with the Buffaloes being +3 in turnovers. While they had an excellent start, this offensive struggle, which started in the second quarter, was slammed by fans on X.

“Pat is a terrible play caller and no wonder why no ones wants him back in the NFL. Convince me otherwise!!” one fan pointed out.

“Shurmur is awful and was covered up by skill position talent last year. Disgraceful play calling and Salter looks timid,” added another commenter.

“I think colorado needs a College offensive play caller that can design plays . Drelon has 1 pass attempt,” said another person.

Some fans even noted how much Shedeur Sanders, who is now with the Cleveland Browns in the NFL, is being missed, while others continued to slam the offensive line for struggling against the Yellow Jackets.

“+3 turnover and down by 3 at half is abysmal. My takeaway from the half is that we can’t blame shedeur for the dogs*** play calling on offense,” said one person.

“@ShedeurSanders is well missed. God, that boy was so good. Three turnovers in 8 minutes without scoring each time is not good,” another commenter pointed out.

“That oline from the center to the right side can’t hold a block or block on passing plays,” noted another commenter.

The score coming into halftime was 13-10 in favor of Georgia Tech, though Colorado started the game 7-0, until the Yellow Jackets surged during the second quarter.

Colorado Holding On So Far in the 3rd Quarter

Coming into halftime, Georgia Tech was outclassing Colorado on the offensive end, with 279 total yards to the Buffs’ 119 total yards. The Yellow Jackets also had 18 first downs to Colorado’s five.

As of writing, the third quarter has begun for the Buffaloes vs. the Yellow Jackets, and things started well for the Buffaloes with their opening drive. Micah Welch had two good runs with 22 and 6 yards, but this soon fizzled out with a two-yard run that ended in an incomplete pass and a punt.

As Georgia Tech took to the offense, the Colorado defense is currently holding and has also forced the Yellow Jackets to punt.
