Shilo Sanders’ NFL journey has been full of ups and downs. He was first left undrafted during the 2025 NFL Draft and then signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.
After reaching Tampa, Shilo started winning the fans’ hearts with his charming personality and the hard work he showed during the rookie mini camp and the training camp.
He then got the opportunity to make a place for himself during the preseason games, while the first matchup against the Tennessee Titans gave fans hope of his chance to make it to the 53-man roster. The next two didn’t go as planned.
Shilo was ejected from the third preseason matchup against the Buffalo Bills because of a physical brawl with tight end Zack Davidson, and was then announced to be waived from the Bucs.
5 days after the announcement, Shilo Sanders opened up about what is next for him in his career through his YouTube video, talking about planning to make the most of his other talents like modeling, acting and music.
“I’ve been talking to my agent and we’re waiting on the next opportunity.
If that’s an NFL, cool. But God’s blessed me with a lot of talents to do other things other than play football, you know. And um I feel like in every athlete’s life, it becomes a point to where the game ends for you. And I’m not saying that’s what it is now. I’m just saying mentally I’m good because I know that I got a lot of talents and I’ve been blessed.”
“I’m thankful for my family, my friends, and just my support system. I’ve been cool. I’ve been good. Even if you make the team is not certain. So you always want to not really have a backup plan, but you always want to have other interests that you’re interested in. And you know, I’ve always done that my whole life playing football with music, acting, modeling.”

When Shilo and Shedeur Sanders Went to Paris for a Fashion Show
In Jan. 2024, before the college football season took place, Deion’s sons Shilo and Shedeur took a trip to Paris to get a taste of modeling as they walked the runway for the Louis Vuitton fashion show.
Shilo Sanders, who played safety at Colorado, donned an orange camouflage bubble coat over a button-down plaid shirt and paired stylish brown pants with a duffle bag to elevate the whole look.
Shedeur Sanders was seen rocking with a green pearl button-down shirt with an orange vest.
The brothers also met Pharrell Williams before the show and got a few words of wisdom from him.
