Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday via a joint Instagram post. Several sports franchises and college teams reacted to the news in their own way, but no one went as far as the Nebraska Cornhuskers did.
They posted a cozy photo, replacing Kelce with mascot Big Red. This left many fans of Taylor Swift fuming. In the meantime, the Cornhuskers have deleted the controversial post from all social media accounts.
One fan reshared the deleted post while saying:

Some Swifties were happy that they were able to force Nebraska to take down the post.

“KARMA IS THE GUY ON THE ????” Another fan took a lyric from one of Swift’s songs.
“Everyone who retweeted it should delete their posts also,” one Swiftie requested.
“Omg, what was it?!! “Y’all should mention what you’re talking about because there are Swifties around the world who NEED TO KNOW,” one fan said.
“You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes, and I hope that team gets a losing record,” another posted.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s First Public Appearance Since Engagement With Nebraska Connection
Just two days after their engagement, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their debut as an engaged couple at a college football game between the University of Cincinnati and Nebraska, held at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift was supporting her alma mater, sporting Bearcats gear, while Swift opted for a chic, neutral look. They were accompanied by close friends, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
According to Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, Travis proposed to Taylor about two weeks before the public announcement, in their Missouri home. While the Chiefs’ tight end initially had big plans, both fathers advised keeping it intimate.
“He was going to put her off ’til this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,” Ed said. “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”
