Travis Kelce endorsed heavily to see Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders get more playing time ahead of the new season. During his podcast with brother Jason Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made the headlines when he strongly stated that Sanders needs to play right away.
“Give the people what they want,” Travis said.
Jason wasted no time in stating that he wants to see Sanders play as well. Travis then reaffirmed his point, and further reasoned that Sanders would bring undeniable excitement to the franchise.
“The world wants to see him go out there and not only play but have success, At this point, guys are rooting for him,” Travis explained.
“This isn’t against anything Dillon (Gabriel), this isn’t anything against Joe (Flacco). I am just saying the excitement is there for him to go out there. He’s going to put eyes on the screen, he’s going to bring people to the game,” he further elaborated.
The comments were met with immediate backlash from fans on all social media outlets.
“You two are CLOWNS,” stated a fan.
“Absolute terrible pandering perspective,” called out another fan.
“They already going to be 3-14 , so why not start him and be 0-17,” said a fan.
“No we don’t. We’ve seen him. He’s trash,” wrote a fan.
“NFL doesn’t need ppl brought to the game lol it’s the biggest sport in the world. It needs to stay ultra competitive and not let clown shows take center stage. Kinda like you two,” stated another fan.
“Give it a rest. Let him earn his way onto the field,” suggested a fan.

Being a fellow Clevelander, Travis elaborated that he is well aware of the buzz around Cleveland when Deion’s son is in the building. He said Shedeur enjoys being in the limelight all of the excitement and showmanship makes it fun to root for him.

Shedeur Sanders Survives Browns’ Final Roster Cuts
Shedeur Sanders just cemented his spot on Cleveland’s 53-man squad after surviving the final cut last week. The fifth-round draft pick surpassed expectations during training camp, even after initial concern of arm soreness. Overall, his standing is a considerable victory for him since his slide into the draft’s fifth round was dramatic as most considered him a first-round pick early on.
Sanders will enter the season as a developmental option as the No. 3 quarterback behind Joe Flacco. Sanders is competing with third-round pick Dillon Gabriel in what has turned into one of the most closely watched quarterback rooms in the league. Sanders’ collegiate statistics at Colorado consisted of multiple school records with over 14,000 passing yards and 134 touchdowns.
The quarterback’s emergence has also received a lot of attention during his transition to the professional level. With him having received a lot of attention courtesy his connection to NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, it will be interesting to see how Shedeur lives up to such high expectations ahead of the 2025 season.
