Sophie Cunningham has been one of the most iconic WNBA players when it comes to pulling off fashion inside the tunnel. With a wide variety of outfits to her credit, Cunningham has definitely inspired a host of other athletes in the league to up their fashion game. Now, she has decided to level this game up even a step further.
In a recent episode of her podcast “Show Me Something” with West Wilson, Cunningham revealed her latest collaboration with the wife of San Francisco 49ers tight end Kyle Juszczyk, Kristin.
Kristin is a self-taught designer with no formal training, but her designs are worth applauding from all around the fashion space. Her brand, Off Season, is officially operated by Fanatics, Inc. and is licensed by the NFL.
On her podcast, Sophie Cunningham revealed her upcoming collaboration with Kristin. Speaking to West Wilson, she said:
“Her [Kristin Juszczyk] company Off brand, her designer brand – she is going to the W! So I’m going to be one of the first W players to rock her style in tomorrow’s Tunnel fit.” (0:15)
As per Off Season’s website, the official WNBA merch drops on Dec. 4. Kristin developed her brand with the redefining of fan apparel with the ‘fashion first’ approach. Her idea is to integrate the modern sports culture with premium designs and aesthetics that make her pieces stand out on an everyday basis.
Perhaps, it’s best to collaborate with none other than Sophie Cunningham for this matter. When it comes to redefining fashion and creating a statement right from the tunnel, Cunningham is right at the forefront of it.
Sophie Cunningham is ruled out for the rest of the WNBA season
Sophie Cunningham has been a key piece for the Indiana Fever so far this season. However, a right knee injury has resulted in her being unavailable for the rest of the season. This injury comes at a precarious time when the Fever have already lost two consecutive games and have tallied six losses in their last ten matchups.
In the same podcast, Cunnigham also opened up about the difficulties that she faces as a WNBA player. One of the key points she mentioned was finding it hard to remain consistent. Speaking to West Wilson, Cunningham said:
“When you have a new roster every five days, all you try to do is find rhythm. Chemistry is complicated. We just brought in a player who had been training in Turkey; she had league experience, but had been out for years. All of that makes it hard to find consistency.” (3:45)
However, besides all this bad news, the other positive update is that Caitlin Clark is recovering at a steady rate. She still continues to deal with her groin injury and ankle bone bruise for over a month. Although, there is no possible date of return, she is already participating in non-contact practices, which marks a significant step in recovery.
