Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have taken the next step in their year-long romance: they’re officially engaged. The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced the news on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos that captured the proposal and the moment after.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote in the caption, alongside a red pen emoji.
The Instagram post showed Kelce adorably kneeling down in a lush garden setting surrounded by colorful floral arrangements, which made the setting more picturesque with the adorable couple.
WNBA star Caitlin Clark reshared the post, celebrating the power couple’s milestone. Iowa forward Jada Gyamfi reshared writing, “I cant breathe.”
Meanwhile, Chiefs star Patrick Mahome’s wife Britanny Mahomes also reshared the post on IG story, writing,
“Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two.”
Nick Saban daughter Kristen Saban wrote,
“No one speak to me its happening.”
Patrick Mahomes also reshared the post, rejoicing with three red heart emojis.

Swift and Kelce’s love story has played out on football fields, concert stages, and now, in front of more than 280 million Instagram followers. Their relationship became public in September 2023 when Swift was spotted cheering from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs’ matchup with the Chicago Bears. She would attend 13 games that season, including Super Bowl 58, where Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Kelce returned the support, traveling to multiple stops on Swift’s Eras Tour across the globe, from Argentina to Australia and throughout Europe.
No wedding date has been announced, but Sunday’s engagement reveal firmly confirmed one of the NFL’s most-watched romances as it heads toward the altar.

Taylor Swift Shatters Records With New Heights Appearance Alongside Fiancé Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift’s name has long been synonymous with broken records, whether on the charts, streaming platforms, or stadium tours. Now, she has added podcasting to her list.
Her guest spot on New Heights, the podcast co-hosted by her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason, set a new Guinness World Record after drawing 1.3 million concurrent viewers on YouTube during its August 13 premiere. Swift also revisited the battle over her masters, sparked speculation about a potential Super Bowl halftime show, and looked back on releasing The Tortured Poets Department mid-tour, an album that itself set streaming milestones.
Swift, who already holds Guinness World Records ICON status, the podcast milestone reinforces a theme that has defined much of her career; no matter the medium, her presence pulls in unprecedented numbers.
