$60 Million Coach Prime Drops Cryptic Message as Shedeur Sanders All But Locks Spot on Cleveland’s 53-Man Roster

Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders posted a cryptic message on X just after his son, Shedeur Sanders, was named to the Cleveland Browns’ 53-man roster for the 2025 season.

The post came out the day that Shedeur pretty much established himself with the Cleveland Browns by being included in their 53-man roster. Four quarterbacks on the roster was the Browns’ way of sending a message to all NFL fans that they believe in this rookie’s potential.

“Why do we focus on wrong, hatred, lies, dysfunction & division when we should be focused on Right, Love, Truth, Consistency & Unity. Life is a wonderful but kind teacher. Let your focus be on the Good & Positive things that promotes PEACE! Today. #CoachPrime,” wrote the $60M Worth coach on X.

Shedeur didn’t make it to the 53-man roster without going through some turmoil. The fifth-round draft pick had to overcome a significant amount of adversity during the preseason; he took several sacks and lacked consistency in several outings.

Cleveland made the surprising decision to cut quarterback Tyler Huntley before the final roster cuts. The quarterback room in Cleveland is now interesting with Joe Flacco starting, Kenny Pickett helping his recovery as the primary back up, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders on the depth chart.

Cleveland Sees Promise in Shedeur Sanders’ Proven Track Record

Sanders’ collegiate credentials were more than sufficient to validate Cleveland’s expectations. Sanders was one of the most productive passers of recent memory during his time at Colorado. With a streak of 49 consecutive games of a touchdown pass, it is the longest streak in NCAA Division I history.

The statistics from Sanders’ Colorado career are those of an elite collegiate quarterback, where Sanders amassed over 14,000 passing yards and 134 touchdowns with a completion percentage over 70 percent.

Sanders arrived in Colorado after starting his journey at Jackson State under the direction of his dad. The transition to Boulder meant higher levels of competition. Sanders impressed during his time at Colorado in the limelight of major college football. He helped shape the Buffaloes into legitimate threats in the Big 12 in a couple of seasons.

The preseason opener vs Carolina gave an early indication of Sanders’ potential and the Browns would want Shedeur to continue posting similar performances during the regular season.
