For the first time in over two months, Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star and reigning Heisman winner Travis Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, posted a photo on Instagram. It was a charming beach escape.
Leanna posed against a golden shoreline, flaunting her summer vibes in a chic black co-ord outfit paired with a leopard-print headscarf.

The post drew the attention of former LSU basketball star Angel Reese, who dropped a two-word comment on the snaps. She wrote:
“Hi, gorgeous 😍”
Deiondra Sanders, daughter of Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, commented on her own two-word reaction:
“😍😍😍😍so pretty”
Deion Sanders coached Hunter for two years in Boulder before he departed for the NFL, getting drafted second overall in the 2025 NFL draft.

Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee’s relationship stands against all odds
Over three years ago, in February 2022, Travis Hunter asked Leanna to be her girlfriend. Earlier in April, the duo tied the knot forever. Posting photos from her wedding on Instagram, Leanna wrote:
“On 02/26/2022, you first asked me to be your girlfriend. Now 3.5 years later, on 05/24/2025, I became your wife. You make me the happiest woman on this planet, and I am so excited to spend forever with you.”

However, before that, their relationship attracted negative attention from all corners. Their relationship came under scrutiny during the Heisman Trophy ceremony weekend. Many thought Leanna didn’t care about Hunter after Coach Prime allegedly asked her to stand up when Hunter went up to the video to collect his honor before carrying on with her speech.
The widespread criticism disturbed the couple emotionally, as both went on social media. Days later, Leanna uploaded an emotional video, hitting back at the detractors, who claimed she was only with Hunter because of his success.
Hunter also came forward to defend his fiancée, sharing an update on his mental state.
“I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” he said. “Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.”
“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl,” Hunter said. “I feel the same pain that she feels. We’re inseparable, we’re with each other. If she’s hurting, of course, I’m going to be hurting.”
The couple no longer posts as much as they used to do it previously, probably because of their disappointing experience with trolls on social media.
