The Cleveland Browns are evaluating options at the running back spot, with league reports and tweets claiming they are actively making inquiries for a Denver Broncos RB.
Reports claim that Broncos’ Audric Estime Broncos is generating significant interest within Cleveland’s front office with links to a potential signing for the Browns.

Audric Estime is a documented talented second-round pick with a rookie contract worth $4,359,124. The Browns’ lack of depth at the running back position has made Estime an enticing trade candidate; therefore, they could acquire someone through a trade who is supposedly waiting on Denver’s depth chart.
However, timing of the rumors could not be worse. With roster cuts all around the league and the regular season about to commence, pressure continues to heat up Cleveland to resolve their running back situation. Quite simply, it seems that the Browns have lost almost all confidence in Quinshon Judkins, which makes addressing the position a dire need.

Audric Estime’s Connection To Browns Could Facilitate Potential Move
The prospect of Estime and Cleveland coming together is more than just a roster need. Browns offensive assistant Tommy Rees was Estime’s coach at Notre Dame, and that existing relationship could help in any potential deal. This familiarity factor often weighs heavily in trades, with younger players still attempting to find their professional identities.
Estime’s situation in Denver is continuing to tighten during the preseason. The Broncos have now added too many backs to a rotation that includes Dobbins, rookie RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie, and Blake Watson. This is now officially a numbers game that didn’t include Estime, despite earlier success in college.
Cleveland’s running back problem is the direct result of Judkins’ now-extended absence from the team. The former Ole Miss star missed the entire offseason, training camp, and so far in the preseason, which left a huge void in Cleveland’s offensive plans. Judkins was essentially evicted for domestic violence as the charges were dropped by the state but the league is still attempting to determine whether he will be able to return in any capacity.
