Julian Sayin’s girlfriend is enjoying the days before the start of the 2025 season. Gabrielle Fowler took to her Instagram story on Thursday to show off her outfit, a week before her boyfriend, quarterback Julian Sayin, is set to make his debut as a starter for the Ohio State Buckeyes in a game against the Texas Longhorns.
The photo simply showed Fowler upside down, while wearing a white top and some kakis.
The game between the Buckeyes and the Longhorns is the highlight of Week 1 of college football, pitting two College Football Playoff teams from last season and the current favorites to win the 2025 national title.
It’s also drawing the country’s attention, because it will have two new starters that are considered among the potentially best quarterbacks of the next few years: Julian Sayin and Arch Manning. Both are making their first start as bona fide starters for their respective programs.

Urban Meyer compares Julian Sayin to Arch Manning
The similarity between Sayin and Manning’s career paths so far didn’t escape former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. Speaking this week on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” the coach broke down the similarities and differences as follows:
“This is going to be really interesting to watch in this game,” Meyer said.”Because you can say Arch Manning is not much different than Julian Sayin. You know, he’s not done a lot either. So you better protect these quarterbacks.”
“That means don’t have many balls down the middle of the field, work the outsides and give them a bunch of easy throws to start that game, because it would be a mistake to just hand the ball to these guys and let them go play early in their careers like this,” he added.
Meyer also spoke about the great things he has heard out of Columbus, Ohio, about Julian Sayin. In general, it seems he has the potential to be an elite passer of the ball and a top athlete. He also praised Lincoln Kienholz for going the distance against Sayin in the quarterback battle and believes he could come in handy for Ryan Day in the future.
According to Meyer, having a second quarterback of starting quality should be seen as an asset and not a liability. He was famously very successful using Tim Tebow as a wildcat quarterback in the 2006 national championship-winning season with Florida, in which Chris Leak was the starter.
