Arch Manning is heading into the 2025 college football season as Texas’ QB1 for the first time in his collegiate journey. Yet, the conversations around him potentially being the No.1 draft pick don’t take a back seat.
While the conversation was put on a brief hold when Arch’s grandad Archie shared that there is no way the Longhorns star is not coming back after the upcoming season, Arch’s statement on taking things on a “day to day” basis has stirred the debate again.
Talking about the situation and how Archie Manning apologized to Arch as it’s “his life at the end of the day.”
Meanwhile, Rich Eisen believes that we should let the Texas star play first without jumping to conclusions about his draft stock. Contrary to Eisen’s comments, Chris Brockman boldy spoke about Arch Manning’s potential landing spots.
“The hype train’s now on. We’re ramping up number one pick now. It’s official. He basically said that we can now go forward with all this conversation,” Brockman said. “He beats Ohio State and Daniel Jones looks like crap Week 1. Arch to Indie or Joe Flacco looks terrible. It’s on. Arch to Cleveland. Like Tyler Shuck or (Spencer) Rattler, they look terrible week one. Arch to to New Orleans.” (3:03)
“I’m fully on the hype train. When he was born, he got pressure. His name is Arch, It’s on,” he added.
Fans shared their reactions and wrote:
“Just pray he goes to a team with a real offensive line so he doesn’t end up like Peyton did because of the idiotic Colts.”
“To me its all completely dependent on who is sitting at the top of the draft. A team like Cleveland would make Arch stay. Now a team like the Rams on the other hand, yea he’ll come out for that.”
“Archie Manning didn’t let Eli go to San Diego. Not a chance in hell he let’s Arch Manning go to Cleveland. Hell would have to freeze over before he goes to Cleveland or any other franchise that has been terrible for 10 years.”
“Let’s say he does come out in this draft: there’s not a “one QB away” team that will be drafting Top 10. I don’t see him in either year slipping below that as is. How does the Manning family propose stopping him from going to the Colts, Giants, or Jets?”
“This is absolutely ridiculous. He’s played two games?”
“Arch stuff is ridiculous.. let the kid play a couple games first. Sports media needs to chill.”

Analyst Opens Up on Arch Manning’s Weak Point
Arch Manning has been waiting for his turn to take the centre stage at Texas for two years now as he waited behind Quinn Ewers.
While thanks to Arch’s genetics, his 6’3″ tall physique, his strong arm and a naturally hard working nature, many predict him to be among the top quarterbacks this year and even win the Heisman Trophy.
While there are many plus sides to have Arch Manning on your team, analyst Jordan Reid noted that he has a habit of sticking to his primary read too long while also sharing that the Texas quarterback had multiple incidents last year when he stared down for too long, hoping his first read, hoping the receiver would get open.
“He has a habit of sticking to his primary read too long,” Reid said. “Too many times last season, he stared down his first read, hoping the receiver would get open. His internal clock in the pocket was inconsistent. During several plays, he could have hurt defenses even more as a running threat instead of hanging in the pocket too long.”
