MiLaysia Fulwiley left some fire emojis on the latest images from Stephen Curry’s elite training camp. The freshman for the LSU Tigers chimed in with 🖤🔥🔥 on images showcasing an exclusive gathering featuring the Warriors legend, UConn’s Azzi Fudd and G League player Quincy Olivari.
The images captured what was undoubtedly a serious training session where basketball’s brightest minds were gathered. Curry’s camp has set the standard for elite-level preparation and skill development, and players from various levels of the sport have flocked to it to push each other.
Fudd’s efforts at the camp reflect a new period in the narrative surrounding her relationship with the Curry brand. The UConn senior has been travelling with Curry all summer, including on his World Tour. Her decision to pass on the chance to enter the WNBA draft to return to college and keep getting better stands out.
Olivari is a welcome addition to the camp as a player seriously pursuing opportunities at the NBA level. Last season, she played for the South Bay Lakers in the G League, where he had solid average numbers on the year.
MiLaysia Fulwiley’s Transfer to LSU Creates New Championship Expectations
Fulwiley’s transfer to LSU is the talk of the town in women’s college basketball at the moment. After helping South Carolina win an NCAA title as a freshman, she arrived in Baton Rouge with that same championship pedigree, with impressive performances in the SEC Tournament as the MVP.
The explosive guard was able to put up good numbers as a player off the bench primarily for the Gamecocks. But no more so than to be the best backup player in the league. Fulwiley has averaged an impressive 11.7 points per game in limited minutes, whilst also putting in well-rounded contributions of 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
Her selection to the USA Basketball team for the 3×3 Nations League is another feather in her cap. Competing in Chile in the summer, when playing for the USA, is perhaps another small step internationally to getting that experience. The fact that she will represent her country on the senior level confirms how highly regarded she is in women’s basketball.
