Caitlin Clark has continued to climb the ladder of success after a meteoric rise over the last couple of years. The Caitlin Clark effect is in full swing, inside and outside of the WNBA. NFL legend Rob Gronkowski is proudly a part of that fanfare.
The former tight end is more than just an NFL legend. Gronk, over the years, has become a pop culture icon, as well. He recently practiced some long range shots, accompanied by a speaker on the court.
In typical Clark fashion, Gronk launched the three from a corner and made it with pinpoint accuracy. More precisely, the ball hit nothing but the net. For a four-time Super Bowl champion, that was impressive.
The 36-year-old posted a clip of himself draining three on his Instagram story. In the caption, he gave Clark a shoutout. Gronk wrote:
“Draining 3’s like Caitlin Clark.”

Clark might’ve been missing from the in-game action for a while but her influence on the game is still thriving. The Indiana Fever star has been sidelined due to a groin injury and she has missed the last 13 games in a row.
In her absence, her teammates have done a brilliant job, maintaining a winning record so far. They recently registered a dominant 99-93 overtime win against the Connecticut Sun. At halftime, the game had a completely different story.
The Fever, with just 29 points on the board were struggling against the Sun, who had 48 points. Then in the remaining two quarters, they turned it around and ended the regulation time in a tie. The Fever outscored the Sun 15-9 in overtime to clinch victory.
The win was a result of Aliyah Boston’s 14 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists. Kelsey Mitchell’s 38-point outburst and valuable contributions from Odyssey Sims (19 points) and Natasha Howard (18 points). The Fever are currently sixth in the standings with 19 wins and 16 losses.
Stephanie White revealed her top priority regarding Caitlin Clark’s recovery
It’s a no-brainer that the Indiana Fever would prefer to have Caitlin Clark back on the court. Any team would. However, in the context of her injury and how prone the groin is to re-injuries, it’s important to take every step with caution.
That’s exactly what the Fever head coach Stephanie White is trying to do. The Fever are on track so far to make a playoff run, and that’s where they’ll need Clark’s presence more than ever.
“I know she wants to be out here on the floor, and we want her out here on the floor, but making sure that she’s ready is the most important thing. You know, I still don’t know how far we are. We’re gonna take it one step at a time, one day at a time, and go from there,” White said earlier this month.

Unfortunately, that’s not the end of all their worries. During the game against Connecticut, the Fever’s Sophie Cunningham also got injured. She was seen struggling with pain and had to be taken out of the game. Soon, it was announced that she wouldn’t return to the floor.
