UConn Star Azzi Fudd Stuns 4x NBA Champ Steph Curry and Brother Seth Curry In Thrilling 3-Point Shootout

University of Connecticut guard Azzi Fudd took three-pointer shooting to the next level, putting on a show against 4x NBA champion Stephen Curry and brother Seth Curry. Fudd displayed a heroic effort after beating NBA champion Steph Curry and his sharpshooter brother, Seth Curry, in a three-point competition

Fudd hit four of her respective five shots, each from the three-point range, defeating Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, who hit three of five, and free agent Seth Curry, who hit two of three.

The UConn guard signals her readiness to compete on the highest levels by beating two talented marksmen in the NBA. Stephen Curry just became the first NBA player to secure a $60 million single-season contract, and he has long been viewed as the number one three-point shooter in basketball.

Meanwhile, Seth Curry led the entire NBA in three-point percentage last season at a remarkable 45.6%.

Azzi Fudd’s Inspiring Return to Form After Battling ACL Injury

After wrestling back from an ACL injury that greatly affected her playing time, Fudd returned to form in the 2024-25 college season with dazzling results.

Her box score shows the signs of a player who would not let challenges define her career. Fudd averaged an impressive 13.4 points per game and shot an astounding 48.6% from the field, 45.3% from three, and 92.6% from the free-throw line.

The numbers seem to be incredible, even given the enormous pressure returning from a serious injury. Fudd’s decision to return to the UConn program during the 2025-26 season and delay her entrance in the WNBA is indicative of her desire to get everything out of her college experience.

The timing of this shootout couldn’t be better for Fudd’s maturing national profile. She just made national basketball headlines with her appearances in the 2025 WNBA Draft and Kelsey Plum’s Under Armour “Dawg Class” camp, both of which collaborated to keep Fudd in the offseason basketball conversation.

The fact that this game was played with Stephen Curry in front of Fudd makes it even better. The icon of the Golden State Warriors has just received his 11th NBA All-Star selection and is still rewriting the record books in his third decade as a professional. He just recently broke Michael Jordan’s record for the most 30-point games by a guard over the age of 35. What Curry continues to do is remarkable.

For Seth, the timing of the shootout comes at a unique point in his career. Reports suggest that the Golden State Warriors are seriously considering signing him, which would create the unique opportunity for the Curry brothers to play in the regular season together for the first time in NBA history.

With the endorsement of Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and Doc Rivers, Seth’s father-in-law, the reports at least hold some credibility. At 34 years of age, Seth Curry is still one of the more consistent outside shooters. For those teams that are looking for shooting depth in their veteran players, Seth received this endorsement.
