After making their relationship official during the WNBA All-Star weekend, fans are learning new things about former UConn teammates Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd. The two were part of the Huskies’ national championship triumph last season. While Bueckers left for the WNBA, joining the Dallas Wings as the No. 1 pick, Fudd stayed behind for her senior year, trying to repeat things for a potential 13th national title.
During her recent interview with Glamour, the Huskies guard revealed that she borrows, albeit steals a lot from Bueckers’ closet to wear. Fudd answered:
“Oh my gosh, I take everything from her. Literally everything. We’re not the same size. Like, obviously, she’s a little skinnier than I am, but she wears her stuff baggy, so it fits me perfectly. So I steal anything from jeans to sweats to hoodies to sweaters, her bags…literally everything except for her shoes. I wish I could take her shoes.”
Fudd also said that she has not returned Bueckers’ jeans. She added:
“I have a few of her jeans. I have a couple sweaters. I don’t think I have any hoodies, but I definitely have a few of her jeans…”
Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd first connected at a USA Basketball youth camp in high school and hit it off as friends almost immediately. A few years back, they reunited at UConn. After months of hints, Bueckers publicly confirmed on All-Star weekend that Azzi is her girlfriend. Just before that, Fudd posted a selfie showing a phone case that reads “Paige Bueckers’ Girlfriend.”

After the upcoming college basketball season gets into full effect, both Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers will be in different places. While Fudd will return to the Huskies in Storrs, Bueckers plans to play in the Unrivaled League set to take place after the current WNBA season.
When asked by Glamour about how she plans to keep in touch amid hectic schedules, Fudd said:
“I feel like Close Friends [on Instagram] is a great way that I can keep in touch. I’m not a great texter—I text her, obviously—but with my other friends, I’m not a great texter. I don’t love texting, but I do love scrolling through stories and looking at what my friends are posting and what they’re doing.” She says that she loves using Close Friends to keep up with the daily lives of her friends without actually having to text them.
Fudd might soon join Bueckers in the WNBA as early as next season. She’ll use the upcoming CBB season to raise her draft stock before the WNBA selection night in 2026.
