Taylor Swift is officially set to make her appearance on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday, Aug. 13. Fans have been expecting this for a long time, almost since Swift started dating Travis Kelce in the summer of 2023. While there was a long wait for it, the Grammy Award winner has used the opportunity to its fullest, announcing her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” in one of the snippets posted on the podcast’s Instagram account on Monday.
However, it’s understandable that it took some time for Swift to appear on her partner’s podcast. After all, she lives a hectic life, with a perpetually busy schedule. It wasn’t until December of last year that she ended her ambitious “Eras Tour”, which was almost two years long.
In a recent interview with GQ, Travis Kelce opined that Taylor Swift’s schedule and training are even more demanding than those of an NFL player like him.
“To go out on a stage, on a computer, essentially, for three hours. The [Eras Tour] floor is literally—I’ve seen underneath that thing. It is a football-field-sized computer. You take that into Singapore, where it is scorching hot, and all of a sudden you’re feeling the fumes from the computer and you’re feeling the fumes from the sun and you’re doing a show for three hours with a lot of energy, bringing it every single song. That is arguably more exhausting than how much I put in on a Sunday, and she’s doing it three, four, five days in a row,” Travis said.
While they might seem like the quintessential celebrity couple, the reality is that they’re leagues apart. Kelce might be a known commodity in the US, but Swift is a global cultural phenomenon; on par with Madonna in the ’90s or Britney Spears in the 2000s.

In an interview with “Bussin’ With the Boys” in July, Travis Kelce spoke about what it means to date a global star like Taylor Swift. It is simpler than people would think, according to him. He said:

It’s like we’re trying to seek attention every now and then, but it’s like we’re just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games. The response was also intended to counter the notion that they had been dating as part of a marketing ploy. However, Swift’s impact on the NFL is undeniable. In 2023, there was a 63% increase in female viewership between the ages of 18 and 49 during the Chiefs and Bears game on Sept. 24, which she attended. Travis Kelce’s jersey sales increased by 400%.
