Former College Football Network All-American and now former Bowling Green LB Darren Anders has put his incredible résumé into the transfer portal. After four years in Northwest Ohio, the talented three-down linebacker should covet a ton of attention.
Darren Anders Enters Transfer Portal
It shouldn’t take long to see why Anders was a College Football Network All-American during the 2021 season. Anders looked like a man among boys during that season, earning the nod as one of three linebackers named to the first team.
Anders followed up his stellar 2021 season with another dominant year in 2022, flashing brilliance again with his well-rounded skills.
He recorded 77 total tackles in 2022, including 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Back in 2021, Anders was among the nation’s leaders with 124 total tackles while accumulating three sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown, as well as a plethora of other highlights.
After four years with the Falcons, Anders has 276 total tackles and ranks among the top returning players to college football next year in such a figure.

A lurking defender in the middle of the field, Anders’ ability to stuff the run is pivotal to his game. He possesses terrific instincts, and his ability to run the alley is among the best in the country, not just the MAC.
Anders will certainly be a coveted player as he journeys through the transfer portal. His sheer production alone is warranted of Power Five looks, but once you break down the film of Anders, it’s clear his three-down ability will make any team that much better in the long run.
