For Warren Sapp, the move from the coastal warmth of Florida to the cool, elevated climate of Colorado has been refreshing. The clear skies, stunning landscapes, and natural beauty seem to be the everyday thing for Colorado’s pass rush coordinator.
On Monday morning, Sapp posted a small clip, giving his followers a glimpse of how mornings are in the Centennial State. While he was pulling up his car from the driveway, he captured the clear skies of Colorado, and said:
“The beauty of living in Colorado, wake up at 6 in the morning, not a cloud in the sky, and the moon is beaming at you at 94%. Whaaat? Insane.”

Sapp has been enjoying such mornings since joining Deion Sanders’ Colorado ahead of the 2024 season. He was promoted to the position of pass rush coordinator ahead of the 2025 season. Along with Colorado, Sapp will hope to replicate the success from last season, when the program registered a 9-4 record, as they won more than six games for the first time since 2016.

Warren Sapp Opens Up on Coaching Duties and Team Dynamics
Colorado’s football program was without Deion Sanders this summer as the head coach underwent bladder surgery during the offseason. In his absence, his Hall of Fame coaching staff picked up the slack and did little to trouble Sanders, who was resting miles away at his Texas ranch due to his health concerns.
Sapp revealed the coaching staff covered for Sanders’ absence as they delegated duties among themselves. He said:
“It’s the little things that will make us great. It’s the tedious repetition of the little things, over and over and over again. That’s what we do. He (Sanders) has so much other things on his plate. I figured I’d handle the little things. … We really don’t ask much of them, except, let’s go to work and that’s what we’re going to do.”
Stepping into his second year at Colorado, Sapp might have learnt a few things on what it takes to be a head coach of the program.
