Deion Sanders’ son, Shilo Sanders, went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft and later signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.
Since then, Shilo has been giving his 100%, whether at the rookie mini camp or the Bucs’ training camp, hoping to make a place for himself on the final roster.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles also appreciated Shilo’s efforts and said that he has a real shot at his goal. On Aug. 9, Shilo played his first game with the team during the preseason showdown against the Tennessee Titans.
The ex Colorado safety put on a show during the Titans matchup and impressed fans with his thrilling performance that included his massive hits in the third quarter.
After winning the game, Shilo was asked whether he would give his first NFL jersey to his dad, to which he said he wouldn’t as he believed Coach Prime wouldn’t be interested in it as of now.
Shilo kept his promise and gave the jersey to his mom, Pilar Sanders. She captioned her post:
“WOW! ❤️ @shilosanders first NFL GAME JERSEY! So Grateful, Speechless and deeply touched realizing how connected he is! We never had a conversation about this, so for him to do this all on his own is 💣💥🤯🤯 – moms you understand! 🥲🥲🥲🥲❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ l LOVE HIM SOOOO MUCH!!!”

Pilar Sanders Relished Son’s Jersey Retirement at Colorado
Deion and Pilar Sanders’ son Shedeur had a legendary career at Colorado. He stayed there for two years with his dad as his coach and took the Buffaloes from being a 1-11 team in 2022 to a 4-8 team in 2023 to finally a 9-4 team in 2024.
As Shedeur prepared to move on to the next part of his career ahead of the NFL Draft, Colorado announced that they will be retiring both Shedeur and Travis Hunter’s jersey numbers.
On the day of the ceremony in April, Pilar Sanders took to Instagram to express her emotions on the event:
“Taking this one last drive in to retire my son’s jersey number #2 what an honor and a privilege to have spent two years in Boulder, Colorado with them, it’s been amazing and to see these sites everyday nothing short of Fun, Gratitude and High Vibes!” Pilar said in an Instagram post on Sunday.
