Warren Sapp Pumped Up for Year 2 in Colorado

During a recent media availability on Tuesday, Warren Sapp confirmed to the media that he’s returning to Boulder for his second year as pass rush coordinator. Despite previously never planning to coach, Sapp says he’s now “addicted” to football again and finds purpose mentoring younger players.

“I never thought I’d want this job, ever in my life,” Sapp told reporters. “I’m a thinker. I can’t wait to ride up a table and see that panoramic view of the school down below.

“I’m rolling. I’m rolling to this place, man. I got my top popped, I’m fluttering. It’s the middle of summer. There ain’t no better time for me right now. I got my babies all around me. They’re ready to work. We’re ready to get into a season. And I know the whole of Colorado is ready for us. So, we’re going to get right,” he added.

Sapp reportedly earns $150,000 per year in his role with the Buffaloes. Sanders, who brought him on, was happy to promote him to defensive pass rush coordinator, as the former NFL star will work with Colorado’s defensive line and try to get the best out of them.
