Dare is currently playing for the Southlake Carroll Dragons in Southlake, Texas and is ranked by On3/Rivals as the No. 467th nationally as well as being the No. 34 IOL from the Class of 2027. He is also ranked the No. 56 player in Texas.
Dare only had an unofficial visit with Michigan last June 14, though Sherrone Moore’s program left a lot of impression on him, so much so that he has picked the Wolverines as his team for college. He has also visited other teams, such as SMU, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Ohio State, Penn State, and Stanford but chose Michigan instead.
Dare is only the second commitment for Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines from the Class of 2027 so far, the other being fellow interior offensive lineman Louis Esposito. Despite this, Michigan is still expecting more commitments in the weeks ahead, especially as the 2025 season finally begins.

What 3-Star 2027 IOL Tristan Dare Said After Visiting Michigan Wolverines Last June
During his visit to Ann Arbor last June, Tristan Dare spoke with On3’s EJ Holland and talked about not just his visit, but also what that offer from Michigan meant to him, especially with him having a friend who is a big fan of the Wolverines.
“The offer meant a lot coming from a program like Michigan,” he said. “It’s a blue blood program. Go Blue. I had a friend text me who is a pretty big Michigan [fan]. That’s just who the fanbase is. They are huge about Michigan. You can see that on game days. When that place is rocking, you can hear it through the screen. It’s very humbling.”
He also praised head coach Sherron Moore during the trip, praising his understanding of offensive linemen in football.
“It’s nice,” he said about Moore. “He understands the importance of having a good offensive line. You can see that with how Michigan has been successful over the last few years.”
Offensive line coach Grant Newsome was the one who recruited the three-star prospect, though Moore is credited for the push to find talented offensive linemen.
