It’s almost upon us! College football will soon be back, and the Coaches Poll has been released. The top 25 teams in the nation have been named, with Texas coming out on top of the poll.

The top five are rounded out by Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia, and Notre Dame. To fans’ surprise, the Alabama Crimson Tide only managed to get the eighth position in the poll, their lowest in a preseason poll since 2008.

Fans were quick to react to the publication, with varying views on the accuracy of the rankings.

¨Texas and Ohio state too high,” wrote one fan.

¨Texas too high K State too high ASU too high SMU too high A&M too high Tech too low,” said another.

¨This one is a joke,” simply said one fan.

Some fans weren’t glad to see Alabama so far down.

“The Bama disrespect is WILD,” complained one Alabama fan.

Others didn’t understand what the BYU Cougars were doing on the list.

“BYU has no business in that Top 25 – Too many unknowns,” claimed one person

A Razorbacks fan believes they’re being hard done by the poll.

“Where’s Arkansas? 🐗 🤷🏿‍♂️ Nobody believes in us huh…ok🤦🏿‍♂️ Don’t sleep on my team we will make some noise!!! @RazorbackFB,” asked one Arkansas fan.

Others disagreed with the poll entirely.

“Pre-season rankings are totally fraudulent and also HARM THE INTEGRITY of the actual season and unduly influence the post-season CFP selections,” said one fan.
