Back on April 21 of this year, Poa announced her intention to transfer to coach Molly Miller’s Arizona State Sun Devils for her senior stint of collegiate basketball. She has spent the last three campaigns with the Tigers, where she helped LSU finish with an overall record of 31-6 (12-4 SEC) for her final season with the powerhouse program. They then made it all the way to the Elite Eight of this year’s national tournament.

Last-Tear Poa Admits That It Was Coach Molly Miller’s Influence That Drove Her To Transfer To Her Program

In an episode of the “It’s A Cole World” podcast on the Bounce Pass YouTube channel back in July 21 of this year, Last-Tear Poa was hosted by Rebecca Cole and started the episode of by answering why exactly she decided to transfer to the Arizona State Sun Devils for her final year of college basketball eligibility. Poa then revealed that it was newly minted coach Molly Miller specifically who pushed her to transfer.

“Honestly, it was really coach Molly (Miller). I’m always the type to follow the coach. I don’t really care about programs, and I think just like understanding the college system over here, it’s more than just a program you know. I feel like I just had to see what who was the most consistent coach that was, you know, reaching out to me and trying to pretty much want me to be, you know, playing for them,” Poa explained. “And, honestly, coach Molly, she just had that energy and I’m always about this energy. I feel like she was, I was just growing on her like for a while…So, honestly, it was just most like consistent person that was just on me the most and she was…But honestly overall, it was coach Molly so I’m really grateful,” she continued.

Poa now joins a Sun Devils squad for the 2025-26 season as a fifth-year player. In the 2024-25 campaign, the Arizona State team finished with an overall record of 10-22 (3-15, Big 12). They then hired coach Miller as the women’s basketball program’s new head coach back on March of this year.
