“Lincoln Lockering Kirby”: Fans React As 4-Star Prospect Snubs Georgia For Big Ten Powehouse

The Big Ten’s USC Trojans have managed a recruitment coup to close out the week. Four-star recruit Breck Kolojay has committed to the LA school. He chose Lincoln Riley’s program over the likes of Georgia, Miami, and Oklahoma. He’s considered the 21st-best inside offensive lineman in the nation for the class of 2026.

Fans were quick to react to the news, as they were excited about Kolojay’s commitment to the Big Ten program.

“Lincoln lockering Kirby, Venables, and Cristobal. We so back baby ✌🏻,” wrote one fan.

“One of the best OL in the nation. This is a huge get for USC,” claimed another.

A few fans opined that the Trojans should hold their horses.

“Long time until Signing Day—I believe in ‘Money Bags Mario’ to get the deal done—GO CANES,” said another X user.

“Half these dudes will decommit from SC when they go 8-4 this year,” joked someone.

Meanwhile, some fans criticized other programs’ poor recruiting.

“Don’t forget over Colorado,” pointed out someone.

At this point ours is a group of 5 team when it comes to recruiting 🤣,” joked another fan.

    Some mocked Kolojay’s choice.

“Great place to go waste talent,” lamented one person.

“A natty to where?” wondered someone else.

Breck Kolojay on why he decided to commit to the Big Ten’s USC Trojans

Shortly after announcing his commitment on Friday, Kolojay spoke with Rivals and shared his reasoning for his decision.

It seems that the constant interest the USC Trojans showed in him during the recruitment process, the allure of Los Angeles, and the possibility of staying somewhat close to home were key factors in his decision.

“They constantly recruited me, the relationships I’ve built with USC over the past couple of months were fantastic,” Kolojay said. “It’s just where my heart is at. I never made it about money or anything, it’s where I see myself. The opportunity in L.A. is pretty insane. It also allows me to be closer to home.

One has to wonder, however, how close he will remain to his home. The offensive lineman is a native of Florida, from Bradenton near Sarasota on the Gulf of Mexico’s Coast.
